At Gladiator Window and Doors, we take pride in delivering high-quality, durable, and energy-efficient doors and windows. Our products are engineered to meet strict U.S. building codes and weather resistance standards, ensuring long-lasting performance in any environment.
Extended Warranty Coverage
Subject to the conditions, exclusions, and limitations outlined below, we warrant that our glass, frames, finishes, hardware, and weather seals will be free from defects in materials and workmanship that would render the product unserviceable or unfit for ordinary recommended use. The warranty period begins from the date of shipment and covers the following:
Glass – 15-Year Warranty
We warrant that:
- Insulated glass will maintain its air seal and remain free from material obstruction of vision due to fogging or film formation inside the unit.
- Laminated glass will be free from delamination that causes material obstruction of vision through the glass.
- This coverage applies for 20 years from the date of shipment.
Component Finishes – Up to 10-Year Warranty
- Our standard aluminum paint finish is covered for 10 years against cracking, peeling, and adhesion failure.
- Optional and custom color finishes are warranted for 10 years, except in coastal environments (within three miles of saltwater), where the warranty is 1 year.
- Anodized finishes are warranted for 3 years, except in coastal environments, where the warranty is 1 year.
Hardware & Components – Up to 10-Year Warranty
- Folding door systems, swing door carriers, pivots, surface-mounted locks, and hinges are covered for 10 years.
- Multipoint locking mechanisms are warranted for 5 years.
- Sliding door hardware, including multipoint locks and rolling hardware, is covered for 10 years.
Important: Regular cleaning and maintenance are required to maintain hardware functionality, especially in coastal or high-humidity environments. Hardware should be cleaned at least every 3 months to prevent salt buildup and corrosion. Customers must maintain a cleaning schedule as outlined below to ensure warranty coverage.
Weather Seals – 10-Year Warranty
- All weather seals are covered for 10 years.
- Doors should be properly adjusted based on site conditions to prevent undue stress on the seals, which could impact functionality.
Screens – 5-Year Warranty
- Pleated and non-pleated screens installed inside a residence or business are warranted for 5 years.
- Exterior screen installation is not recommended, as screens are not designed to prevent falls and can easily dislodge from the track upon impact.
Export Limitation
- For products used outside the United States, the maximum warranty period is:
- 2 years for glass and components
- 10 years for folding system hardware
Warranty Conditions, Exclusions & Limitations
This warranty applies only to defects in materials and workmanship and does not cover damage caused by:
1. Glass Imperfections & Failures Not Covered
❌ Minor imperfections such as bubbles, lines, or surface discoloration that do not affect structural integrity or visibility.
❌ Cracks or breakage due to impact, wind pressure, or improper handling.
❌ Glass with aftermarket films or coatings that affect performance.
2. Warping & Structural Movement Not Covered
❌ Warping beyond 1 year for doors 3'3" wide x 8'0" high x 1 ¾” thick or smaller if it does not exceed 1/4" in plane. Larger panels are not covered for warping.
❌ Frame bowing, misalignment, or shrinkage due to installation issues, climate changes, or building movement.
3. Improper Installation & Environmental Damage Not Covered
❌ Failure due to improper installation, including:
- Insufficient header support causing sagging.

Inadequate flashing, drainage, or weather protection.
❌ Water infiltration due to poor building design or lack of overhangs.
❌ Condensation inside glass due to excess indoor humidity.
4. Finish & Material Deterioration Not Covered
❌ Fading or discoloration from UV exposure or uneven sun exposure.
❌ Corrosion caused by chemicals, including:
- Acid rain, salt spray, brick wash, and air pollutants.
- Improper cleaning or exposure to concrete.
5. Improper Use & Maintenance Not Covered
❌ Misuse, abuse, or neglect, including:
- Failure to follow proper cleaning & maintenance in coastal areas.
- Field modifications that affect performance.
- Damage from third-party re-application of seals after staining, painting, or finishing.
6. Shipping & Labor Costs Not Covered
❌ Costs related to labor, removal, installation, repainting, or refinishing.
❌ Shipping, handling, insurance, or transportation fees.
Warranty Claim Process
To file a claim, you must:
- Inspect your order immediately upon receipt and report any visible defects before installation or finishing.
